Job Description:

Job Summary:

The Area Sales Manager (ASM) – Quick Commerce for the Snacks division will be responsible for expanding and managing sales of the company’s

snack products through quick commerce platforms (such as online grocery delivery services). The ASM will focus on building and growing the

company’s presence within the rapidly expanding quick commerce sector, working closely with e-commerce platforms, delivery partners, and

internal teams to ensure product availability, visibility, and growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales Strategy and Execution:

Develop and implement effective sales strategies to increase market share and revenue through quick commerce platforms.

Monitor sales performance across all quick commerce platforms and ensure that product availability aligns with customer demand.

Work with online delivery services, marketplaces, and e-commerce channels to secure placements for snacks products and drive sales.

Analyze sales trends to identify opportunities for growth and optimize sales initiatives.

Partnership Management:

Establish and nurture strong relationships with key quick commerce partners, such as delivery platforms (e.g., Blinkit, Zepto, etc.),

online grocery retailers, and marketplaces.

Collaborate with quick commerce partners to run special promotions, offers, and campaigns that increase visibility and sales.

Work with account managers at delivery platforms to ensure smooth execution of marketing programs and product listings.

Product Visibility and Merchandising:

Ensure optimal visibility of snacks products across all quick commerce platforms through effective product listings, promotions, and imagery.

Coordinate with the marketing team to implement digital marketing campaigns and social media promotions on quick commerce channels.

Oversee the proper presentation of products on partner websites and apps to enhance customer engagement and drive conversions.

Inventory and Stock Management:

Work with supply chain teams and quick commerce partners to ensure consistent stock availability and timely replenishments.

Monitor inventory levels across platforms to prevent stockouts and ensure that fast-moving products are always available.

Coordinate logistics and warehouse management to support quick deliveries, ensuring minimal delivery times for consumers.

Team Leadership and Collaboration:

Lead a team of sales representatives or field agents focused on quick commerce channels to ensure sales targets are met and customer service is upheld.

Provide training and guidance to the team on quick commerce platforms, sales processes, and customer engagement tactics.

Collaborate closely with marketing, operations, and supply chain teams to ensure alignment and smooth execution of initiatives.

Market Analysis and Reporting:

Monitor competitor activity and market trends within the quick commerce and snacks industry to identify new opportunities and challenges.

Prepare regular sales reports, performance data, and actionable insights for senior management.

Evaluate the performance of different quick commerce platforms and recommend strategies to improve sales.

Customer Experience and Satisfaction:

Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by responding to issues, complaints, and product feedback related to quick commerce orders.

Work with platforms to resolve any service-related issues, such as delayed deliveries or stock discrepancies, ensuring a seamless experience for end customers.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field. An MBA is a plus.

Experience: 3-5 years of experience in sales, preferably in the FMCG or snacks sector, with exposure to e-commerce, quick commerce, or online retail sales.

Skills:

Strong understanding of the quick commerce industry, digital platforms, and online delivery services.

Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills with partners and stakeholders.

Ability to analyze data and translate it into actionable sales strategies.

Proven ability to manage inventory and ensure the timely availability of products.

Strong leadership and team management skills.

Proficiency in MS Office, Excel, and experience with e-commerce platforms or CRM tools.
