  • Set and maintain internal credit limits in line with company policy; recommend payment terms and incoterms from a risk perspective, including credit tenor and security instrument requirements (LCs, BGs, collateral).

  • Monitor physical and hedge positions for limit utilisation, mark-to-market exposure, and concentration risk; flag breaches to the CEO and CFO promptly.

2. Counterparty Onboarding & KYC

  • Own end-to-end counterparty onboarding — customers, suppliers, agents, and logistics partners — in India and internationally.

  • Conduct KYC and compliance checks: sanctions screening (OFAC, EU, UN, etc), PEP and adverse media review, beneficial ownership verification, and country and jurisdictional risk assessment.

  • Review agent and intermediary arrangements for anti bribery and corruption compliance (FCPA, UK Bribery Act, and applicable local laws).

  • Review contractual compliance language in trading contracts — sanctions clauses, governing law, representations and warranties, and force majeure provisions.

  • Maintain counterparty compliance files, periodic re screening schedules, and manage KYC refresh on a risk-rated basis.
