Job Description:

Key Responsibilities

New Product Development (NPD)

  • Handle complete product development lifecycle including RFQ study, design, development, validation, industrialization, and production launch
  • Develop and review process documents such as PFD, Control Plan, PFMEA, Quality Plan, and work instructions
  • Prepare technical feasibility studies for manufacturing and outsourcing opportunities
  • Ensure products meet customer requirements related to quality, performance, reliability, and cost targets

Design & Manufacturing Coordination

  • Work closely with Production, Quality, Maintenance, and Supply Chain teams for smooth product development and production readiness
  • Ensure design for manufacturability (DFM) and process optimization
  • Support pilot production trials and process validations
  • Coordinate with vendors for tooling, fixtures, gauges, raw materials, and special process development

Quality & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with AS9100D, ISO 9001, and customer-specific aerospace quality requirements
  • Maintain technical documentation, records, and validation reports
  • Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action implementation for product and process issues

 

Technology & Process Improvement

  • Identify opportunities for automation, process improvement, and cost reduction
  • Support implementation of new technologies, materials, and manufacturing methods
  • Assist in development of testing methods, validation setups, and process capability improvements

Key Technical Skills

  • Knowledge of precision manufacturing processes: machining, grinding, heat treatment, super-finishing, and assembly
  • Good understanding of GD&T, tolerances, fits, SPC, MSA, and NC programming
  • Hands-on experience in APQP, PFMEA, Control Plans, and quality tools
  • Knowledge of aerospace materials, bearing steels, alloy steels, and engineering standards
  • Working knowledge of CAD/CAM and design software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, ANSYS, MESYS, etc.
  • Understanding of validation methods, test rigs, and engineering test concepts
  • Familiarity with aerospace and defence manufacturing standards preferred

Mandatory Requirement

  • Software operation and capability of doing manual calculations for bearings
  • Candidate having the experience in Bearing industries at least 3 to 5 Years
